Our History

a family company

Cediel Concession Management was founded by Mario F. Cediel and is a family owned and operated company. It began its day-to-day operations at the William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas in May 2015 by opening one candy kiosk, My Sweets Candy Shop, and one Texas hard goods kiosk, H Mart. In August of that same year they opened their first store in the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, a My Sweets Candy Shop kiosk. They currently operate more than 20 stores in the two major Houston airports. They have since added several concepts to their company, including the following franchises: Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Subway, Schlotzsky’s, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. With many contracts in the works, they plan to continue to expand their presence in Houston Airports and other airports across Texas and the country.

Mario Cediel

President/CEO

Mario has been working in the airport industry for over 30 years in jobs from snackbar attendant to business developer and ultimately successful business owner. Mario is a proud husband and father. He’s been married to his wife since 1991. His grown daughters – Marcie, Neli, and Tita – and their families, especially the six beautiful grandchildren they’ve given him, are the light of his life and his joy. He believes in giving honor where honor is due – up, down, and all around – and understands that all he has and has been able to accomplish would have never been possible without his heavenly father; God is the source of his strength and his success. He loves to travel and to serve his local church.

Blanca “Chacha” Cediel

Director of Finance

Blanca, known by most as Chacha, has been along for the ride in the crazy adventure she embarked on since day one with Mario. She is his biggest fan and supporter. Although she graduated with a degree in Spanish, her husband’s business ventures have allowed her the opportunity to learn the world of finance. Her biggest desire is to bring honor to the Lord in all she does and to live a life worthy of the name He has given her, dearly loved daughter. The thing she loves most in this world? Her family. Second? SHOPPING!

Rocio Sanchez

Multi Terminal Director

Rocio has been working with Cediel Concession Management since 2017. She joined us with 15+ years of experience in airport concessions. Her expertise in the industry have proven to be invaluable to the continued success of our company. The term “it can’t be done” doesn’t phase her, it only pushes her harder! She tends to be a workaholic but enjoys playing soccer in her *limited* free time. However, her family has always remained her top priority.

Skyler Kieslich

Multi Terminal Director

Skyler has been part of Cediel Concession Management since the very beginning. He was instrumental in the opening of our first two stores in the William P. Hobby Airport and has continued to grow in his skills and ability as the company has grown. He works and treats everyone with kindness, compassion, and humility. His greatest accomplishment in life was snagging Neli as his wife. Together they have four beautiful children: Oliver (2017), Eloise (2019), Adelina (2022), and Luca (2024). He loves Jesus and dessert before dinner.

Ofelia Fernandez

Manager, William P. Hobby Airport

Ofelia was our first hire at the William P. Hobby Airport. She started as a cashier and is now running the show! She has the best work ethic and is a sucker for details. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her family. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new parts of the world.

Joaquin Cardenas

Commissary Manager

Joaquin joined us while he was still in high school. He has worked in different capacities over the years but is currently part of the executive staff, taking care of all our ordering and storage facilities. We keep him busy, running all over the airport – he’s certain to get all his steps in while he’s at work. He works hard and has a ‘can do’ attitude which has contributed to his huge gains at work. Joaquin is a soccer enthusiast, you can catch him on a soccer field when he’s not at work!

Luz “Tita” Cediel

Director of Brand Relations and Customer Experience

Tita is the life of every party…and office! She has worked with Cediel Concession Management since 2016, starting as a cashier at My Sweets, later moving into management positions at stores, and ultimately into our executive offices. She has become our resident pro at new store openings and we lean into her strengths and abilities to get the job done. She wishes her life was a musical but, since it’s not, uses her beautiful voice wherever and whenever she can. Her favorite thing is using her voice to worship the Lord! One word that best describes her: PINK.
